1975
  • Split off manufacturing and marketing divisions for amusement arcade machines from Satomi Corporation (established in 1947) and established Sammy Industry Co., Ltd.
1978
  • Opened factory in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.
  • Began full-scale game machine development in response to growing popularity of Invader games.
1981
  • Joined Nichidenkyo, a pachislot industry association.
  • Established sales subsidiary Sammy Sales and Marketing Co., Ltd., in Osaka.
1982
  • Began sales and marketing of pachislot machines.
  • Launched Empire pachislot machine.
1989
  • Moved factory to Sayama, Saitama Prefecture.
  • Began sales of Aladdin single-bonus hitter pachislot machine.
1990
  • Began development and sales of game software.
1991
  • Implemented absorption merger with Sammy Marketing Co., Ltd.
  • Moved head office to Toshima-ku, Tokyo.
1995
  • Began sales of pachinko machines.
  • Launched CR Gold Rush pachinko machine.
1997
  • Opened directly managed amusement center, Sammy's Street 156, in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture.
  • Changed company name to Sammy Corporation.
  • Launched Ultra Seven, the first pachinko machine to utilize characters.
1998
  • To reinforce sales and distribution, moved Sapporo Branch to newly completed corporate-owned building in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture, which is also a logistics center.
  • Opened directly managed amusement center, Sammy's Street 118, in Oji Kita-ku, Tokyo.
  • Launched Ultra Man Club 3 pachislot machine with CT functions.
1999
  • Registered stock on OTC market.
  • Launched GeGeGe No Kitaro, the first pachislot machine equipped with an LCD.
2000
  • Opened nine sales offices across the country to bolster sales and marketing of pachinko and pachislot machines.
  • Entered business alliance with K. K. Aristocrat Technologies for the manufacture of pachislot machines.
  • Made RODEO Co., Ltd. (formerly Barcrest Co., Ltd.), a subsidiary.
  • Made Dimps Corp., a digital content developer, a subsidiary.
  • Launched GeGeGe No Kitaro SP pachislot machine.
2001
  • Began OEM supply to K. K. Aristocrat Technologies.
  • Listed stock on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  • Participated in the establishment of JOYCO SYSTEMS CORPORATION, for the development of pre-paid systems equipment for pachinko and pachislot machines.
  • Completed Kawagoe Factory.
  • Established Sammy Design Co., Ltd., as a subsidiary of Shuko Electronics Co., Ltd.
  • Began operation of the official i-mode site, Sammy 777 Town.
  • Launched Juoh pachislot machine with AT functions.
2002
  • Established American Depositary Receipt (ADR) program.
2003
  • Launched King Camel pachislot machine with dream reel offering diverse reel action.
  • Launched Hokuto No Ken pachislot machine, which set a new record for unit sales.
2004
  • Launched CR Mojuoh pachinko machine, with selection system.
