Once a year, this work experience program gives local middle school students a sense of the satisfaction, responsibility, and difficulties of working life (in foodservice and retail).
Another facet of the parkfs voluntary social action involves kindergarteners. Through their own flower planting, they gain an appreciation for nature.
OASIS PARK also helps sponsor local events, provides facilities or volunteer personnel, and lends other support to promote local products, tourism, and community exchanges.

Since fiscal 2009, SEGA LOGISTICS SERVICE (in charge of Group logistics) began using wood from forest thinning in Nagano Prefecture in the pallets and wood blocks needed in protection and shipping of amusement machines.
In fiscal 2010, some 3,000 blocks and 3,000 pallets were purchased, supporting the use of wood from thinning and encouraging recycling of forest resources.
We will be studying the possibility of expanding use of this wood throughout the Group.

In fiscal 2010, CO2 absorption from maintaining the SEGA-no-Mori forest area was commended by prefectural authorities in Nagano in the form of an official certificate, the second received to date.

The Kawagoe Factory reduces packaging by employing reusable delivery boxes to transport parts and components, and unit goods. Factory visitors receive flowerpots made from the facility's waste paper, and workers wear recyclable uniforms as part of using resources more effectively.
The factory's efforts to increase greenery and reduce global warming include a rooftop garden, where people can relax. Around 32%, or 5,433 square meters, of the 16,970 square meter property are covered with vegetation, greatly exceeding Saitama Prefecture's requirement for 25%. For its efforts, the facility won the prefecture's Environmental Design Award and the Award for Kawagoe Landscape Design.

Since 1999, we have donated cherry trees to Miyori Park to the east side of headquarters in desire to beautify the area for local residents. Few visited the park before the trees appeared. But today many children enjoy playing on the improved equipment.
A new concrete path improves access through the park, and residents' associations now hold cherry blossom parties there. We had planted 39 cherry trees within the park by April 2010.
