CHAPTER 01
The joy of transforming AI technology into a powerful ally for my colleagues—a lesson I learned in my first year.
I chose SEGA SAMMY because I felt it offered an environment where I could apply my IT skills to the entertainment world I love and create new value.
After joining the company, I was first assigned to the User Support Section. One of the tasks I focused on was “Prompt Kitchen,” a generative AI education initiative. This initiative promotes the use of generative AI across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
First, we began with an introductory explanation of generative AI. This was followed by discussions of the business characteristics of each department, allowing us to select the tools best suited for their tasks. Finally, we provided instructions on writing effective prompts.
This was a challenging job for me in my first year, but because AI is a relatively new technology, I felt it was a field where even newcomers can stay at the forefront if they put in the effort. Taking that first step allowed me to truly experience a great sense of fulfillment in “turning AI technology into a powerful ally for my colleagues.”

Promoting safe AI use and creating an environment where people can focus on creative work
I am currently part of the dedicated AI Promotion and Governance team, supporting the creative endeavors of the entire SEGA SAMMY Group. Alongside promoting AI use, an equally important mission is setting rules and guidelines to ensure its safe application. To stay up to date with the latest developments and news, I actively engage in information exchanges with external parties, interacting daily with people in diverse roles and perspectives. Through these efforts, we continue striving to create an environment where members of the SEGA SAMMY Group can devote their time to the creative work they are truly meant to focus on. The appeal of AI lies in its limitless potential, shaped by the individuality of those who use it. That is why I feel a great sense of reward in shaping new ways of working tailored to each person’s unique “style.”
My goal is to take AI beyond a mere efficiency tool and turn it into a driving force for creating the unique “fun” only SEGA SAMMY can deliver. I feel a deep sense of pride in being able to contribute to work that expands the possibilities of entertainment.
