Environmental consideration is one of the important issues that companies should address. The SEGA SAMMY Group remains constantly aware of the environmental impacts of our business activities, complies with environmental laws and regulations, and works to reduce environmental impact and address climate change.

SEGA SAMMY Colorful Carbon Zero*1 To Achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050

The SEGA SAMMY Group is promoting initiatives to prevent global warming by effectively utilizing energy, reducing environmental impact from offices and production sites, and designing environmentally conscious products and services. We aim to reduce total GHG* emissions under Scope 1 and Scope 2 by approximately 50% by 2030, and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Regarding Scope 3, we aim to reduce GHG emissions by approximately 22.5% or more by 2030. As part of this effort, since 2022 we have been conducting supplier surveys to enhance engagement with business partners and to use the results to reduce GHG emissions across the supply chain.

Initiatives Addressing Environmental impact (Water Resources, Chemicals, Pollution, etc.)

With the aim of achieving the “sustainable development of society,” SEGA SAMMY Group sets forth in the “SEGA SAMMY Group Environmental Policy” that we shall not only comply with environmental laws and regulations, but also comply with the laws and regulations(Environmental laws and regulations concerning air pollution, water pollution, waste, etc.) of the countries where it is located concerning water resources conservation, the appropriate management of chemical substances, and wastewater, sludge, and exhaust emissions, and make further efforts to improve the environment by establishing voluntary standards as necessary. We also continuously inform our suppliers of the “SEGA SAMMY Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines” to get understanding and cooperation.
