SEGA SAMMY Group Social Media Policy
SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS INC. and its subsidiaries (collectively the “Group,” “We,” “Our” or “Us”) establish the following policy regarding the use of the Group’s social media accounts.
If a Group company has already established its own Social Media Policy, the corresponding Policy shall apply to the rules below.
1. Purposes for Participating in Social Media
Our aim in participating in social media is to make Ourselves a familiar presence to and build a relationship of trust with people by communicating information to and engaging in sincere dialogue with them. The three specific purposes for Our participation in social media are:
- To gain a deeper understanding of the products and services people want by listening to the feedback they provide through social media.
- To inform more people about the products and services individual Group companies offer.
- To inform more people about the passion Our employees have for the products and services individual Group companies offer.
2. Our Approach to Participating in Social Media
We will engage in dialogue through social media with an attitude of restraint and moderation as a common-sense participant with the understanding that social media is a venue for communication built upon sharing, empathy and connections between people.
- We will always act responsibly and approach all dialogue through social media with an attitude of sincerity.
- We will comply with all laws and regulations and respect the rights of third parties, including but not limited to personality rights, privacy rights and copyrights.
- In addition to this Policy, We will comply with all internal rules and regulations related to social media.
- We will endeavor to act with restraint and moderation in Our participation in social media with the understanding that Our actions are publicly visible and are of a permanent nature.
- We will endeavor to communicate information that is accurate and neither provide information that is false or that could cause misunderstandings among other social media participants.
- Should We accidentally communicate inaccurate information or use language that causes misunderstandings, we will truthfully admit the error and make the necessary corrections or apologies in a sincere and timely manner.
3. For Social Media Participants
- Information communicated by a Group company through its social media account(s) may include the personal views and opinions of the employee(s) operating the account(s) and do not necessarily reflect those of the company. Please refer to that company’s website or press releases to confirm its official position on a matter.
- Each social media account will interact with other social media participants in different ways (whether it replies, how long it takes to do so, etc.).
- Should the possibility arise that a social media participant’s post(s) will hinder a Group company’s use of social media, the company may take action against that participant through such steps as restricting their ability to access the company’s social media account(s) (blocking, etc.) or hiding relevant post(s).
