Toward Enhancing Engagement
The SEGA SAMMY Group has been conducting employee engagement surveys since 2016. Employee engagement refers to a state in which each employee is connected to work and roles that align with their own values and abilities, enabling them to fully leverage their strengths. We believe that this state forms an essential foundation to lead a lot of Game Change and captivate the world.
At the SEGA SAMMY Group, we regularly visualize the level of engagement within each organization through periodic surveys and continuously promote initiatives to enhance it. Survey results are promptly shared with each Group Company after aggregation, allowing them to understand their own engagement levels, identify challenges, and define appropriate action plans. Through communication between executives and employees to align perspectives, as well as by establishing mechanisms that enable employees to lead, continuous improvements to the workplace, each Group Company earnestly addresses the issues identified through the surveys with creativity and commitment. The engagement score, which was in the 40-point range at first, rose to 58.0 in FY2026/3, achieving the target originally set for FY2031/3 five years ahead of schedule.
This score indicates that, overall, a reasonably comfortable and supportive working environment has been established. Going forward, based on each Group Company’s medium- to long-term vision and strategy, we will move into a new phase focused on advancing more distinctive and competitive organizational designs.
Measures to Enhance Employee Engagement at Group Companies
The SEGA SAMMY Group positions the enhancement of employee engagement as one of its key performance indicators and implements a wide range of initiatives to improve it. At SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS, efforts to enhance employee engagement include holding management sessions in which executives review employee engagement survey results to identify issues and discuss countermeasures, as well as open sessions (town hall meetings) where employees can directly raise questions and concerns regarding company management and business strategies to executives.
In addition, through an internal website accessible to all SEGA SAMMY Group employees, we share our perspectives on employee engagement, case studies from Group Company, and timely updates and analyses of survey results.
