Jointly donates used PC monitors in collaboration with Square Enix and Bandai Namco Holdings
Since September 2021, SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS has been continuously working with SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. and Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. to donate used PC monitors to People Port Corp.
In the field of digital content development, the introduction of new equipment and periodic hardware replacement often result in surplus PC monitors. By donating these monitors to People Port, we contribute to the company’s initiatives such as creating employment opportunities for refugees in Japan and supporting children’s education, while also promoting an industry-wide shift toward an eco-friendly society through effective resource utilization.
SEGA SAMMY Group Day
SEGA SAMMY Group holds “SEGA SAMMY Group Day” once a year to invite someone close to including employees’ families to the company to deepen their understanding of their daily work and SEGA SAMMY Group, and to promote interaction with them.
SEGA SAMMY Group’s mission and purpose is “Constantly Creating, Forever Captivating -Making Life More Colorful-.” Another purpose of this event is not only that employees and those who employees think are close to and invited to the event enjoy it and take proud of their job, but also to increase their engagement in the group through all of them joining together. In the Group Day held on August 2025, 26 contents from 17 group companies offered their contents and services. The event was full of happiness and smiles with the employees and their children.
Campaign to Deliver Picture Books
Since 2009, SEGA SAMMY Group has participated in “Campaign to Deliver Picture Books”, organized by Shanti Volunteer Association, to deliver entertainment to children living in conflict zones. Japanese picture books are purchased through profits from sales of unnecessary items donated by employees, a portion of proceeds from vending machines installed in our office, and matching gifts by SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS. Employees and their family put stickers translated into the local languages on Japanese picture books, and send them through Shanti Volunteer Association. As of the end of October 2024, 3,883 picture books have been donated in total. We will continue this activity to give more children entertainment and captivating experiences through picture books.
Visiting Lessons for an Elementary School
In Chitose City, Hokkaido, the host city of the “SHIGEO NAGASHIMA INNVITATIONAL SEGA SAMMY CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT,” SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS is implementing the “SEGA SAMMY CUP Manabu Project,” which supports education through new sports and culture fields. As part of this program, in June 2024 we held the “SEGA SAMMY Sustainability Challenge Lesson” at an elementary school in Chitose City. Employees of SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS Sustainability Headquarters served as lessons. Through lessons and card games on familiar themes such as the environment and diversity, we provided opportunities for individuals to think about what they can do.
In order to contribute to the realization of a prosperous society and the creation of culture, SEGA SAMMY Group will continue to actively engage in educational support activities for children who will bear the future.
Supporting Vaccinations for Children across the World
SEGA SAMMY Group contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and encourages childhood vaccinations across the world by collecting plastic bottle caps on each floor of the Osaki headquarters. The caps are processed by a special recycling operator to reduce CO2 emissions during incineration. The revenues generated from their sale to the operator are donated to the certified NPO corporation Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World’s Children to support the health of children around the world. In fiscal 2024, we recycled 179,000 caps, reduced CO2 emissions by 1127.7 kilograms, and donated money to purchase vaccines for 179 children.
Participation in a PC donation project for high school students
In 2023, SEGA SAMMY HOLDINGS donated laptops in support of the “Pass the Baton” project conducted by CLACK, a certified NPO, with the aim of encouraging the use of laptops from SEGA SAMMY Group headquarters, which are used less frequently, for educational support for high school students. This project aims to refurbish used PCs donated by companies and provide them to high school students with financial difficulties to support their IT learning.
The PCs provided by companies are delivered to high school students free of charge as refurbished PCs through processes such as data erasure, cleaning, and OS reinstallation to prevent information leakage by Pacific Net.Co.,Ltd. which is affiliated with CLACK.
Since owning a PC is one of the first barriers for high school students who have mastered programming skills when they use the skills they have learned in their part-time jobs and internships, delivering PCs can help children in difficult situations to drive themselves in the long term. SEGA SAMMY Group will continue to resolve social issues.
Supporting children and young people with various "difficulties in living"
As part of its activities to contribute to the local community through entertainment, SEGA continues to provide educational support, including delivery classes using Puyo Puyo Programming in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, where the Group’s headquarters are located. In addition, since October 2023, SEGA has been cooperating with the ward’s new project to support children and young people who are truant or withdrawn from school, and has been conducting “SEGA Puyo Puyo Programming Courses and Visits to SEGA Headquarters.”
The programming courses have been held as a trial since 2022, and participants can listen to piponeer, a professional player of Puyo Puyo certified by the Japan esports Union, not only teach programming but also talks about his profession as an esports player. The participants and their families commented, “It was a great experience for me to learn how to program from an esports professional,” and “I was happy to have an opportunity to go outside when I wasn’t in school.” In addition, at SEGA headquarters tour, participants will experience operating equipment at facilities that they normally cannot enter, such as a video streaming studio.
SEGA SAMMY Group will continue to contribute to local communities through entertainment.
Implementing a work experience program at a golf course in collaboration with a job support facility
SEGA SAMMY GOLF ENTERTAINMENT, which operates The North Country Golf Club in Chitose City, Hokkaido, has collaborated with Circle Eight, a Type B Employment Support Facility, since 2022 to provide job experience opportunities for people with mild disabilities.
We provide opportunities to engage in work such as maintenance at golf practice facilities, weed removal from around the clubhouse, and picking up garbage and branches, thus contributing to social employment opportunities, mental health support through work in nature, and self-fulfillment support.
We plan to continue to engage in activities in partnership with the local community and promote sustainability activities at the golf course in the future.
SPORTS DARTS PROJECT
The goal of the project is to “make darts a sport that can be enjoyed by everyone.” We want to contribute to solving social issues such as improving people’s health and revitalizing local communities by helping more people to enjoy playing darts as a sport.
Currently, we mainly conduct darts workshops for elementary, junior high, and high school students, the elderly, and people with disabilities. We are promoting the introduction of darts to local facilities so that people can continue to enjoy darts.
48 Monitors Donated to Facilities for Children
In September 2022, SEGA SAMMY Group donated funds to the certified NPO non-profit organization REALs (Reach Alternatives).
REALs works in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to prevent conflict, terrorism, and social violence before they occur and to create societies where people can coexist, regardless of their values, religion, ethnicity, nationality, and gender. It also helps empower local people and build systems to prevent conflict, as well as social networks, so that those involved in conflicts can take the initiative to prevent and resolve them. SEGA SAMMY Group sympathized with REALs’ idea of “supporting communities and people living there to prevent conflict before it happens”. They provided support for preventing conflict in three slum areas in Kenya.
As an integrated entertainment company with stakeholders worldwide, we will continue to support the creation of a society without conflict and create emotional experiences to realize a society where people can enjoy entertainment with peace of mind.

Humanitarian support for the conflict in Ukraine
The SEGA SAMMY Group is providing various forms of support to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
In March 2022, we issued a statement in collaboration with our overseas group companies, Sega Europe Limited and Sega of America, Inc., outlining our humanitarian assistance efforts, including raising funds and conducting a donation matching gift program for employees in our group companies both domestically and internationally ※.
Additionally, Phoenix Resort Co., Ltd., which had been a group company until May 2024, is offering accommodations, food, and work opportunities to Ukrainian refugees evacuated from the conflict through their “Phoenix Seagaia Resort.” The SEGA SAMMY Group is hoping there is a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict and for the safety and well-being of those affected by the crisis.
※Matching donations made by our group employees in Japan were donated to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency via Japan for UNHCR, a national partner of UNHCR in Japan, and Japan Platform (Specified Nonprofit Corporation).
Donating and Disinfecting Toys in Collaboration with NPOs
This year marked the 11th time we engaged in the initiative since fiscal 2010. Working together with the Japan NPO Center, we select NPOs to donate our toys.
In fiscal 2020, hoping to deliver smiles and courage to children who spend most of their time in beds and their family members, we donated about 100 toys from SEGA FAVE (formaly SEGA Toys) and 500 non-woven masks to the Approved Specified NPO Family House, which provides accommodation support for the families of children undergoing treatment for cancer and other intractable diseases.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, many hospitals have restricted visits, increasing the need for support to help children with illnesses and their family members experience closer bonds of connection.
Group employees regularly visit the houses and disinfect toys and stuffed animals so that children and their families feel more comfortable using them. In future we will continue to develop contributions to make all children smile.
Exploration of new ways to enjoy dancing with the visually impaired
