As a globally active business group, we recognize the need to reduce environmental loads across our supply chains. Climate change has become a particular focus in recent years, and we have started to carry out risk analyses and disclose information based on the framework created by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
Our mission 1
Increased cooperation with group companies and major suppliers
The SEGA SAMMY Group has set a target of achieving Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon neutrality by 2030 in our core business areas—entertainment contents , pachislot and pachinko machines. We expect to reduce group-wide GHG*1 emissions by approximately 50% by 2030. We aim to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire Group by 2050.
Our Scope 3 target for the SEGA and Sammy are to reduce GHG emissions by 22.5% or more and reach the SBT*2 levels by 2030. As part of this, we have been conducting supplier surveys since 2022. These surveys enhance supplier engagement and also provide data that can be used in initiatives to reduce GHG emissions in our supply chains.

*2 SBT are science-based targets set by companies for the reduction of GHG emissions over periods of 5-15 years in line with requirements under the Paris Agreement.

The SEGA SAMMY Group is analyzing the business impact of climate change under the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. We plan to carry out detailed assessments of both risks and opportunities and factor these into our future business strategies.
